An emergency is:
Something that needs to be fixed immediately or serious injury or damage will occur.
An emergency is not:
Something that a student would liked to be fixed as soon as possible but will not result injury or damage.
Examples of Emergencies:
- Loss of hot or cold water
- Loss of heat (during extreme temperatures)
- Loss of electricity (beyond normal power outages)
- Electrical hazard
- Flooding or major leak
- Fire
- Gas leak
- Any condition that represents a significant imminent threat or potential hazard to the community
- Broken window that is potentially a safety and/or security hazard.
